Media- and copyright law & freedom of advertising

In addition to the basic seminar, the training in media and copyright law & freedom of advertising is a mandatory part of the basic training at FREIRAD. You can only make regular broadcasts on FREIRAD once you have completed both parts.

Why? Because knowledge of media and copyrights is a requirement for responsible, independent and advertising-free media production.

At the same time, the Austrian Private Broadcasting Act, the Charter of Independent Broadcasting Austria and the guidelines for radio producers at FREIRAD regulate what you may and may not say in your broadcasts. Sounds complicated? Absolutely. But FREIRAD won’t leave you on your own and will guide you through the jungle of laws and guidelines in this introductory course. So that you can finally make a program to your liking and within the framework of the legal regulations. And in a completely relaxed manner.
