You enjoy listening to poems? Responding to them? Discussing them? Even analyzing them?
On the second Thursday of every month, at 13.06, we do precisely that in a series of programmes, in English.
We, Andrew and Sandra Milne-Skinner, have been running Poetry Café for Freirad since 2012. We have notched up over 200 programmes. Our programmes feature poems based on a theme or topic, together with related music. ‘Poetry’ for us also means poetic prose, so Dickens and Proust have also figured! We try to reflect what is happening currently in the arts world, whether here in Tyrol or further afield. We also celebrate poets, writers and musicians on their anniversaries. We have also had several guests in the Studio.
Do tune in when you hear our signature tune: Satie’s Gymnopédie no. 1, in the arrangement by the Jacques Loussier Trio!
You can also access any of our 200 plus programmes through the Cultural Broadcasting Archive.
